Langtang valley trekking is also called the valley of glaciers trek. Langtang is the closest place to get the massive snow-capped mountains and beautiful glaciers. This valley is located only 19 miles north of Kathmandu. The whole valley is dominated by Mount Langtang Lirung (7246 m/23766 ft)and offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy lawn and meadows.

Langtang valley trekking take around 8 hours drive from Kathmandu. The starting point of trekking is Syabrubesi. From Syabrubesi you will follow the Langtang River to the east until you get to Kyangin Gompa (3,049/10000 ft) with the overnight stay at Lama Hotel, Langtang valley respectively. On the fourth day, you will arrive at Langtang valley. In this valley, besides natural wonders, you also visit local Tibetan village and see their lifestyle. The last destination of this trekking is Kyanjin Gompa. Then you visit ancient Buddhist monastery and glaciers in Langtang. Here you stay one more day on next day you get an opportunity to ascend Kyangjin Ri (4350m/14268 ft). From the top, you will get 360-degree mountain views of Langtang region.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi
Day 03: Trek from Shabrubeshi to Lama Hotel
Day 04: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Valley
Day 05: Trek from Langtang Valley to Kyanjin Gompa
Day 06: Explore around Kyanjin Gompa and climb to Tsherko Ri
Day 07: Trek back from Kyanjin Gompa to Ghoda Tabela
Day 08: Trek back from Kyanjin Ghoda Tabela to Shabrubeshi
Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu from Syabrubeshi through the same previous road
Day 10: Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
